The shooting happened at Bowers Memorial Hospital in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on March 9.
Two women were inside the birthing room when a gunshot rang out.
The caller was trying to speak with a woman in the hospital, and the other woman heard her daughter screaming, according to WSPA-TV.
The caller then heard shots ring out, WSPA reported.
The family, all adults, ran to the door to get help, WVTV reported.
The women and a child were not hurt, and they are OK.
