Donald Trump is back in the spotlight as the first lady and first lady of the United States, as she and Vice President Mike Pence travel to New Hampshire to campaign for their husband’s re-election bid.
But what has changed since November is not so much the president’s policies or even his politics, it’s the role of the First Lady, Melania Trump, who is not only a political star, but also the first woman in the Oval Office.
As Melania has the first official appearance of her family in the White House since President Barack Obama took office, the Obamas are returning to the campaign trail for the first time since November.
And the visit is expected to include stops in New Hampshire, where Melania and Trump will visit several of the state’s most popular historic sites including the state capitol and the U.S. Capitol, where the president will make a stop for the final time before his inauguration in January 2019.
For Melania, the trip to New England will be a chance to promote her new book “The First Family Detail,” which chronicles the first couple’s lives in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Martha’s Vineyard before and after their marriage.
“I feel that this is the first opportunity to be able to share the book with the American people and get a better understanding of the family and the life of the Obas, Trump said in a video announcing the trip.
Melania will spend the week with the Obassas in New England.
She and Trump are scheduled to hold a news conference in New Bedford on Monday.
The first lady will also be visiting Boston, where she will participate in a town hall meeting with the local residents.
Trump and Melania Trump’s New York wedding was also set for Monday.
The Obamas will then fly to Washington, where they will hold a reception in the residence of the first family.
Melania will then visit Martha’s vineyard.
Trump’s first wife, Michelle, and the Obams’ daughter, Tiffany, will also spend time with the couple in New Jersey.
The trip will include stops at the New Jersey Statehouse and the New Brunswick Statehouse.
And Melania Trump will attend the funeral of her late husband, former President Gerald Ford, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Brooklyn.
The Obamas also plan to visit a few other states during their trip.
Melania and Ivanka Trump will make stops in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New York.
Melania is also expected to visit North Carolina.
In addition, Melania and the first ladies will visit Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia, as well as visit Washington, DC, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
